Sean Brown:
A Timeless Vision
of Design and Culture
Sean Brown epitomizes the visionary artist of our era. As a designer, art director,
and founder of Curves, he transforms personal inspirations into universal creations,
redefining our relationship with objects and the spaces around us.
Founded at the height of the pandemic alongside Iva Golubovic and Zachary
Aburaneh, Curves is more than a home goods brand—it’s a celebration
of culture within our interiors. From the iconic CD-shaped rugs paying
tribute to albums by Daft Punk and Lil’ Kim, to designs that fuse bold
aesthetics with cultural memory, Curves turns everyday objects
into statements of identity.
Take the Archway Chair, for instance. Inspired by an African birthing chair
discovered on eBay and the silhouette of a Parisian cathedral seen on Twitter,
this piece masterfully blends heritage with modernity. For Sean Brown,
his designs are not just functional items; they are vessels for storytelling.
Before launching Curves, Sean Brown had already made waves with NEEDS&WANTS,
his luxury sportswear brand, and The Art of Reuse, a virtual market for vintage
clothing. These ventures, along with his work as an art director for artists
like Baby Keem and collaborations with brands like F. Miller, sharpened
his eye for proportion and his ability to craft meaningful spaces.
